Yesterday was our second wedding anniversary. Ryne and I are not big into huge celebrations, flowers and chocolates, or any other Hallmark-esque type deals. We keep it real. We completed a quick tricep and ab workout, watched some basketball, drank some beer, and just hung out. I did get him a card… but it was last minute and I got it off of the 99 cent rack at Kroger. I ball hard. 😉 We do have a babysitter lined up for Friday night, so well be getting our grub on then. Honestly, I like our laid-back approach.
I love him. A lot. We got the mushy, gushy stuff over with at the wedding, though, ya know? He is a great father, a loving husband, and an awesome best friend. I couldn’t imagine hanging out with anyone else for the rest of my life. Ryne + Presley = BFF!
We’re so lucky that Maddux is here to celebrate with us this year. We’re definitely blessed! Speaking of Maddux, he is definitely growing up before my eyes. Yesterday, I was talking to Maddy about nap issues and she helped me realize that M is probably trying to get down to one nap. I was dreading this day! Those two “breaks” every day were pretty awesome. I mean, I do have to clean and cook at some point in the day. They can’t stay babies forever, though. I’m still in shock that I will have a “toddler” in a few weeks. I really can’t even discuss it. One thing I do know for sure is that I’m going to need a whole lot more energy.
Through my partnership with FitFluential, I received some samples of FRS for free in exchange for a review. This could not have come at a better time! I need all the extra energy I can get my hands on.
FRS is an energy and endurance product that also delivers immune system support. That’s great and all, but how does it work? My thinking on most “energy” drinks is that they are full of caffeine, sugar, empty calories, and other crap. That is not the case with FRS! FRS uses antioxidants, vitamins, and green tea extracts to get the job done.
The powerhouse antioxidant in FRS is called quercetin. Never heard of it? Me either. Chances are, though, you’ve felt its effects before. Quercetin is found in the skin of blueberries, apples, and grapes. FRS products include the highest level and quality of quercetin available. Essentially, FRS is “fueled by nature and endorsed by science”. FRS was originally created by scientists hoping to increase the energy levels of chemotherapy patients while boosting their immune system. It’s now used by professional athletes, too! That being said, anyone can benefit from the effects of FRS.
Now let’s get into the nitty gritty: the taste! I received six cans of the ready-to-drink beverages in the following flavors: Low Cal Citrus Pomegranate, Low Cal Orange, Low Cal Peach Mango, Low Cal Wild Berry, Apricot Nectarine, and Orange.
The first thing I noticed about the drinks was the bright neon liquid inside of them. It’s crazy looking! Apparently, that is just a natural byproduct of the quercetin. It’s pretty wild. The flavors of FRS are also unique. By unique, I mean they actually have flavors. A lot of other energy drinks taste like energy drinks. My absolute favorite flavor was Wild Berry, followed closely by Apricot Nectarine. The only flavor I didn’t like was Citrus Pomegranate. Ryne and I both agreed that the other flavors were much better. Another thing I noticed was that the Low Cal Orange and Orange flavor actually tasted like orange! That might be a weird thing to note, but I was really surprised. Have y’all ever noticed that a lot of “orange flavored” foods and drinks taste nothing like oranges? So weird. I digress. The point is, these are a great option if you’re looking for a good energy drink. I’ll definitely be buying more Wild Berry!
I was also sent the Blueberry Pomegranate Chews and the Orange Powered Drink Mix.
Interestingly enough, I really liked the chews even though I didn’t like the pomegranate flavor in the canned drink. Maybe the addition of citrus threw me off? I liked the blueberry/pomegranate combo! I’ve had the powdered mix before and still like it now. Both of these products would be great to keep on hand since they are easy to grab and go!
