Good morning! I mentioned yesterday that I needed to run five miles. Yeah, that didn’t happen. Right now I’m blogging from my parents house. When my mom gets home from running some errands, I WILL be going for a run. I’m dressed and waiting. Yesterday was just too hectic to squeeze a “long” run in. I felt bad about it, though, so I did find time for some activity. Lately, I’ve felt really good about how I look EXCEPT for my stomach. New mom pouch is real… and since I am not a kangaroo, I want to get rid of it. I know that for the most part, it’s just going to take time. Extra skin (yeah, I was stretched to the max) is just going to take a while to snap back. I do also need to clean up my diet, run more sprints (what I swear by), and get in a few ab workouts here and there. Last night, I completed this circuit workout while Ryne and Maddux got ready for bed. It’s never too late to squeeze a workout in! I completed three rounds of the circuit before hittin’ the hay.
Yesterday I also accomplished non-fitness related chores as well. Before heading out for the day, I dressed Maddux in this sweet new onesie. I’m tempted to cross out the “daddy” part and replace it with “mommy”. We all know who has the most swagger in this household.
We completed almost all of our Christmas shopping yesterday. Yes, it does feel awesome to get that out of the way so early. No last minute shopping for this fam. Confession: we will be giving out a lot of gift cards this year, though. I love receiving gift cards, but some people think it’s too impersonal. I like knowing that people can go get exactly what they want. We have two people we still have to shop for, and they will not be getting gift cards. I’ve got some neat ideas for what I want to get my Memaw. She keeps Maddux during the week FOR FREE, so she obviously deserves a ballin’ gift.
We also went to Costco yesterday (aka home away from home) and got some much needed supplies for the house. Yes, I do need 40 cans of La Croix.
We also finally made some prints of Maddux’s feet and hands. I’m thinking we might have waited a bit too long, because they barely fit on the ink pad. He has baseball mitts for hands. It’s insane.
Oh, and last but certainly not least… PLEASE make smart choices at the poles today! Maddux says you are voting for his future, people. Yes, I am using the baby to guilt trip you.
Have a great day, y’all! Teachers get election day off, do you? If so, got any big plans (other than voting)?! I’m going to try to take it easy!
