Oh, hey. It’s been a while since I’ve been on here, huh? My lovely family passed a cold/sore throat/cough thing to me and it took me down. I woke up feeling a bit better today so I tried to complete this quick workout before I left for the office. I miss taking barre, so I tried to incorporate some moves that reminded me of it. Of course, everything is totally modified for my huge belly.
Let me just say this: it was brutal. I swear I thought I had retained some semblance of fitness and that this would be a breeze. Nope. I hadn’t and it wasn’t. The move that killed me? Push ups. Yes, I struggle-bussed it through 30 modified push-ups while simultaneously cursing myself for thinking it was a good idea. That being said, I’m glad I finally got up and got moving. It was much needed!
One thing that motivated me was being gifted some cute new maternity workout gear. For Two Fitness is known for their adorable, functional workout tanks. I’ve worn their clothing in the past, so I was excited to get some new “themed” pieces. The barre tank is absolute perfection.
I also received a training tank, yoga shorts, and active capri. The bottoms each have a 3-way belly panel and I definitely appreciated that fact when I was huffing and puffing my way through my workout. I pulled them up for as much support as possible, y’all.
I highly recommend the brand if you are expecting. I truly haven’t found better (or longer lasting) maternity workout gear. I wonder how long I can get away with wearing these things after the baby? I mean, belly up to the barre doesn’t necessarily mean I’m pregnant, right?
