I don’t know about y’all, but this week has totally gotten away from me. Report cards went out today, so I’ve been getting that stuff ready. Next week is Spring Break, so the kids are going absolutely insane with anticipation. I’m tired! I think I’m going to take the rest of the week “off” from blogging. I have a few products I want to talk about, along with a few giveaways, so I guess it’s as good a time as any to post those. I know I’ve been doing a crappy job with the whole blogging business lately, but I think Spring Break will help bring me back to life. My birthday is also a mere 9 days away, so I’m sure that’ll put a little pep in my step, too. 😉
I’m actually really excited about this giveaway! I might be a little obsessed with subscription boxes. I mean, c’mon, you get boxes full of fun junk every month. Even when I don’t love everything in a particular box, I still love the fact that I got to try new things and come home to a package. I don’t care who you are, seeing the UPS guy drive up or seeing a box on your porch is always exciting.
I’ve tried supplement subscription boxes and running subscription boxes, but I had never tried one based solely around food. (If you know me, you know that’s the key to my heart.) Alright, so in all honesty, the new box I tried does include more than just food. But y’all, the snacks are where it’s at.
Bestowed recently sent me their March box to review. (Each month’s box is $19, but you can also sign up for the annual membership which saves you a few bucks in the long run.) It was full of great products, some of which I was familiar with and some of which I had never even heard of before. Basically, it was a fun box to eat my way through.
What I received: Oloves Hot Chili Mama Olives, Nature’s Bakery Whole Wheat Fig Bars, Nature’s Earthly Choice Quinoa Lentil Soup, Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts, Artisana Coconut Butter, an iTrain gift card for downloadable workouts, and a Happy Family Happy Squeeze pouch.
Out of everything I’ve tried, the biggest surprise was the fig bar. I haven’t had that other brand of fig bars since I was little, but damn, I doubt they were as good as these. Probably not as good for me, either. Nature’s Bakery, I don’t want to know what kind of magic you do to make these happen, just keep doing it. I enjoyed mine while grading papers. It was heaven sent…
Honestly, everything was surprisingly good, though. Usually with subscription boxes you’ll get one or two really great products and then a few that make you go “meh”. (And this is coming from someone who still really loves getting those sometimes “meh”-filled boxes.) Bestowed obviously puts more thought into their boxes than that, because each Bestowed Box product is hand-picked by author and nutritionist Heather Bauer. Bestowed also includes tips on how to best enjoy each product and where you can purchase more in case you become obsessed with a particular snack. Very thoughtful.
Enough rambling from me… would you like to try a box for yourself? Bestowed generously offered to send one of you a box as well! Enter to win below:
If you just can’t wait for the winner to be announced before you grab a box for yourself (or someone else- they make great gifts!) , you can use the code 5OFFBSTOWED01 for $5 dollars off your first box. 🙂
Disclaimer: I received one box from Bestowed in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was provided. All opinions are my own.
