I think this is the closest I’ve gotten to posting a baby update in the correct month. I’m only four days off this time. Progress, y’all.
Likes: Hudson loves being surrounded by people, playing with tags on toys instead of the toys themselves, eating cold green beans, singing “Ants Go Marching” in the car with his brother, watching Word Party on Netflix, being tickled, chewing on his stuffed elephant, and generally being the sweetest and most personable baby on the planet.
Dislikes: He hates it when I’m in the room and not holding him, but he’s totally cool with me leaving. Maybe his object permanence just isn’t there in full force just yet. Other than that, nothing much bothers him. I feel like being tired and hungry shouldn’t count. I dislike those, too. Who doesn’t?
Sleeping: This is an issue right now. Every single night is different. I think it’s finally time to ditch the swaddle and get in the big boy crib. Wish us luck.
Eating: Hudson went from eating every 3-4 hours to every 2-3 hours during the day. I thought it would bother me more than it does, but it hasn’t affected our schedule all that much. He eats solids 1-2 times a day now, too, so the kid is basically always eating. He fits right in around here.
Playing: His current interests include fake coughing until he gets your attention, sounding like Chewbacca, jumping and kicking at all times, chatting with other babies, and chewing on literally everything.
Firsts: This month was exciting for the little chubster; he got to eat solids other than oatmeal! So far he’s had sweet potatoes, apples, green beens, pears, and carrots. Other firsts includes wearing 9 month clothing, testing out his walker, rolling over both ways, and sitting up in a restaurant highchair like a boss.
