The past few days, I’ve really been on my A-game. Not trying to brag or anything, but I’m feeling much less of a waste of space lately.
Friday night, Ryne and I went out with some friends. Like, for real out. To a bar. Yeah, you read that right. It was a lot of fun, but I’d be lying if I said that Ryne and I didn’t miss Maddux the entire time. I have worse separation anxiety than my child. Oh, and I realize I’m about as pasty as a teenaged vampire.
Sunday, we introduced Maddux to his new best friend. He loved Santa! However, I don’t think Santa liked us very much. Ryne caught him chastising us for taking personal photos. I’m sorry, but I paid 30 daggum dollars for one printed picture. I think I should be able to snap a few on my phone. Oh well. Can’t make friends with everyone.
Monday after work, I completed a quick Christmas circuit. The fact that I did anything but crash on a Monday is a big deal. I’m not joking in the slightest.
This morning, I set up our classroom Elf on the Shelf. Seriously, this thing is a pain in my butt. I thought I was going to get by without having one, but one of my sweet girls brought me one. How could I say no to that? It’s actually kind of fun, but I’m terribly afraid I’ll forget to move it one day. Today, they found him copying one of our crafts. Rude.
I forgot what having energy felt like. It’s pretty awesome. 😉
