Happy Hump Day!
I know that commercial is so played out, but I cannot get it out of my head today. Heeeeelp. I blame the internet.
Anyway, today was jam packed with a whole lot of sweaty fun. Spoiler alert: I went the whole day without showering. You can quit reading now and I will totally understand.
I mentioned yesterday that we’d be heading to the lake, and that’s exactly what we did. We made a pit stop at Wal-Mart to grab an umbrella stroller. Why have I not done this yet?
The best thing about today? No all day storm-fest!
Maddux is a true little mini-me. He took his snacks everywhere he went. Smart kid. You should always be prepared, ya know?
I got to relax while Maddux played with my parents. He doesn’t realize that this is only the beginning of my stalking him for the rest of his life. Sorry, kid, but mama is nosy. Yes, that is dirt on my face. I told you it got a little gross today.
Maddux fell asleep on the way home from the lake and actually slept for over an hour after I transferred him to the crib. I either turned into a ninja overnight or he was just really tired. Basically, up until this point, my day was about as perfect as it could get.
Then, jealousy set it. Why don’t I get to drive the swagger wagon? Not fair, life. Not fair.
Then, to top it all off, I had to head to my very last CrossFit class. I would like to go a few more times, but I really don’t know if I can justify the cost. I guess the Kool-Aid is too rich for my blood. 😉
Here was tonight’s WOD:
Per usual, I reversed a few of the things because I can’t follow directions. I mean, I really don’t know what’s wrong with me. I did box jumps right after the run. Maybe I just wanted to get them over with? All I know is that my body is beat. I finished in 14:45. I almost just typed out how upset I am with that time, but I feel like that’s just flat out ridiculous. I mean, it’s the time I got. If I could have gone faster, I just should have gone faster. I need to stop making excused for myself! I’m such a little whiner.
Then I stole a piece of bubble gum on the way out. I keep it real.
While I’m sad that CrossFit is over for me, I’m also glad I’m not going to pay for it. Ryne and I really could do almost every single thing at our house, and I feel like I would be capable of setting it up now. Stay tuned for that! I’m sure I’ll share whatever we come up with. I just can’t justify paying so much for one type of workout. I know that CrossFit is functional and can definitely be all you need, but I really enjoy things like barre and piloxing as well. I need the variety!
Now I’m watching the X Factor and typing up this super sweet post that I know has thrilled y’all to death. 😉 Before I go, I really want to mention Kindrunner‘s newest promotion: “48 Hours of Paying the Kindness Forward”. Basically, anyone who registers on the website before Friday at 7PM Eastern time will receive $10 of Kindness Cash Rewards Credit. It can be used for anything. Such a good deal! I’m sure you’ll stick around and donate some shoes eventually, too, right? It’s a great lil’ philanthropic way to clear out your closet while getting a little something for yourself. Love it!
See y’all tomorrow!
Question: Do you pay for a gym membership? Multiple memberships? Or none at all? I know you practically need nothing to be active, but I’m still torn on it all! [Edited to add: I think I’ve asked this before. I must really be struggling with this!]
