HAPPY FREAKING FRIDAY! I don’t know about you, but I was especially ready for Friday this week. Not sure why. I’m just glad it’s here!
I mentioned Saturday’s workout in my last Weekly Workouts post since I shared my activities later than usual. So I guess I’ll start with Sunday instead. 🙂
I went for a run in
hell my neighborhood. It has the most killer hills! Anyway, I ran four miles at about a 9-ish minute per mile pace. I swear I felt like I was running 7 minute miles, though. It was tough!
Monday I did a quick full body workout similar to this one. I cut it a bit short since I’m not in the same shape I used to be, but it was still a good one!
I took Tuesday as a rest day. I picked Maddux up from the sitter and we went to his “six month” (he’s seven months old) wellness check. Then we just chilled all evening, because we all deserved it after the poking, prodding, and shots.
Wednesday included four miles of intervals and this ab circuit. I was so sweaty after this. It was super sexy. Yeah, I’m kidding. I looked like death.
Last night was another “forced” rest day. I was the solo parent all afternoon/evening and it wore me slap out. When Ryne did get home, I ate dinner and crashed. Then I played on Pinterest and Twitter. Oops. Hey, at least I’m honest.
I was pressed for time today so I threw together a workout that included three supersets and a plank for time. I’m slowly trying to build my plank length back up, and it’s hard! Anyway, there are tons of different ways to incorporate supersets into your workout, but today I used them strictly as a time saver. You don’t have to sit around twiddling your thumbs between sets. They’re awesome if you get bored easily as well. 😉
Hope y’all have a great weekend! If you have some free time, check out my tips for Healthy Tailgating. Many of them apply to Super Bowl Sunday. 🙂 Speaking of, who are you rooting for? I’m not big on professional football, so I don’t have much invested. However, I love those daggum commercials!
