Happy Friday! Today wasn’t all that great, because my family has come down with the plague (aka the common cold). I’m still 100% excited that it’s Labor Day weekend, though. Bring on the sunshine and laziness.
Today’s Friday Favorites all have one thing in common: they prove that I’m the smartest human alive. Well, fine. They just prove that some of my brain cells work some of the time. Whatever. Same difference.
When EvoFit generously sent me an Ensō Muscle Roller to try, I have to admit that I had no idea what to do with it. At first glance, it just seemed so complicated. I mean, there were parts to it and I had to move them. I wish I was kidding when I say that I didn’t try it out for a few weeks just because I was nervous about it. In reality, the Ensō ended up being so much better than a traditional roller. There is a slight learning curve, but it really didn’t take any time at all to fall in love with it. I feel like a genius for figuring it out, even though I know it’s actually pretty simple. Once you find the adjustments that work for you, it’s an amazing addition to your warm up/cool down/rest days. The eight disks can be positioned in a ton of different ways (they can even be removed altogether), so that it can truly work for anyone. The following are features that they explained so much better than I can:
- Elongates muscles, relaxes tight muscles and aids in breaking up scar tissue, increases circulation and flexibility
- Customizable design supports and works targeted areas without pressure to surrounding muscles and bones
- 8-disc design can create a one-of-a-kind fit for your body shape and training needs
- 13in proves to be the most versatile length for most body types
- Rollers are constructed with a lightweight EVA foam and are supported by durable molded plastic discs and an anodized aluminum core
- Grooved notches on tube position rollers to not slip out but adjust without friction for a micro-tuned disc arrangement
- Weighs 2.13lbs
I highly recommend it if you struggle with regular foam rollers since this one is so customizable. Don’t let the looks of it intimidate you like I did, either. This thing is a miracle worker.
I love, love, love Noosa but the yoghurts are usually 2 something a pop. That’s caviar-and-champagne-style money in my world, so I usually only grab them as a special treat. I realized recently that they go on sale pretty regularly at Kroger. When that happens, I stock up. I suggest you do the same. They are delicious, and I love that they care about the ingredients that they are using in each flavor and that they don’t use weird fillers to create a low-cal or low-fat product. This stuff is the best, and the honey flavor is my absolute favorite. Try it!
After a few years of cleaning my hardwood floors on my hands and knees (seriously, that’s the only thing that worked), I finally bit the bullet and bought a steam mop. I figured that they probably didn’t work all that well, but I was so wrong. I’m so glad I snagged one when I found it on sale. Under $90 was totally worth it to not have to clean like Cinderella anymore. I also love that I can use just the steam alone, which limits the amount of cleaner I have to purchase and use in my house. Small wins, am I right?
Snickers Peanut Butter
While everyone else is all “OMG PUMPKIN” right now, can I just throw it up for peanut butter? Drop whatever you’re doing right now and go buy some Snickers Peanut Butter Squared minis and thank me later. I really have nothing else to say about this.
Last, but most certainly not least, I just have to say that finding this movie at Target for five bucks made my life. I don’t see how people weren’t literally fighting over these. Do they not realize the genius that is Space Jam? I believe I can fly, y’all. I believe I can fly.
Question: What was your best purchase or idea recently? I’m pretty sure mine was that steal of a movie. My muscles would probably say the roller, though. Tie?
