Is it inappropriate to remix rap songs in relation to my child? Eh.
So, yeah, I didn’t get around to posting yesterday because we had a little bit of nap and bedtime drama. Nothing too terribly bad, but still. It was bad enough that by the time he finally went to bed, I just wanted to relax. I’m not complaining, I promise. He’s actually been awesome and laid-back about the whole vacationing thing. We just had a little hiccup yesterday.
Other than rocking an overtired baby, we did do a few other things.
Monday night, I showed off my #OOTD. I’m actually really fashion-forward and you guys are just behind the times. Apple shorts are all the rage in Milan.
Ryne showed off his kayaking skills. Psych. He crashed and ate waves about 5 times. He kept telling me I should take the shark bait out, and that the kayak was really sturdy and wouldn’t flip. He deserved to fall off.
Yesterday, during Maddux’s first and only short nap, we headed to Tropical Smoothie Cafe for some wraps. Delish. Of course, the smoothies are where it’s at. Remember when I said I didn’t love smoothies? Well, I do love them when it’s just fruit and sugar. Come to mama!
After lunch, we popped into the grocery store for a few essentials. By essentials, I mean bagels, beer, and rock salt. What more do you need in life? This is my bagel face:
Then it was time for the beeeeeaaach! Someone was excited.
That someone then crashed hard. And refused to nap. It was fun for everyone. 😉
While he rested on his dad, I played with my resistance bands. I did some squats and biceps with them before
laying on the floor doing a few crunches and Russian twists.
Game night! I swear, I freaking love games but then was took way too long and I lost steam. I was grumpy and tired. Maddux gets that from me, obviously.
This morning, I made the perfect egg patty. If I accomplish nothing else today, I am 100% satisfied.
Maddux is napping right now (woohoo!), so Ryne and I are going to drive into St. Augustine and see what kind of trouble we can get into. Outlet malls and restaurants better beware.
See y’all soon!
