I’m feeling pretty good about today, all things considered. I mean, it is Monday. I did get a grant written and sent off, so let’s all just pray I get chosen. We need some math supplies, so I’ll be needing that dough.
While I was on top of my teacher game, I fell behind a little in the gym-fashion department. I wore a truly spectacular outfit while doing squats, split squats, leg curls, calf raises, and abs tonight. Yes, this really happened. I took a ride on the hot mess express. Avert your eyes.
The main issue? My new Lorna Jane clothes were dirty. It’s a shame, really, because they are truly little works of art. Disclosure: I received them in exchange for taking part in the #mnbchallenge hosted by Lorna Jane and Fit Approach.
My favorite piece is the Rosana Excel Tank/Bra Combo, for sure. The back is ridiculous. I felt super fancy the other day wearing it.
But enough about my clothes, let’s chat about the challenge. The #mnbchallenge has three main components: move, nourish, believe. It goes right along with Lorna Jane’s personal philosophy:
MOVE your body every day
NOURISH from the inside out
BELIEVE in yourself
Last week the focus was on moving and being active. This week is all about nourishing your body and taking care of yourself.
Today’s challenge was to post a picture of a meatless meal or snack. We had quinoa and bean burrito bowls, so it was easy for me to play along. All I had to do was tag my meal to Instagram or Twitter to join in. Pretty simple stuff, right? (If you start participating now, you can play catch up and still win the $1,000. Just post last week’s challenges along with this week’s. It’s definitely not too late to start!)
Tomorrow’s challenge is to take your lunch to work. I’ll definitely be taking part in that one as well. Cafeteria food isn’t exactly fine dining. I’d rather bring my own, ya know? I’m not sure what it will be just yet, because I like to surprise myself in the mornings by blindly throwing things together. We’ll see how that plays out.
If you’d like to join the challenge, you can RSVP here. It’s fun to see how other people interpret each daily goal. There were a few meatless meals posted tonight that I’ll definitely be stealing in the future. The Move Nourish Believe website is also full of great ideas, too. You should totally check it out.
**Full Disclosure: I was sent product in exchange for taking part in this challenge, but I received no other compensation. All opinions are my own. It makes me feel fancy, remember? That has to count for something.**
