I worked out tonight. Yeah. Who else is shocked/excited? Just me? Fine. Ryne and I quickly killed our backs and biceps after Maddux went to bed. I did four pull ups in a row tonight, too. I still had help, but they totally count.
In other news, I feel like we just moved into our new house. Forget the fact that we’ve lived here for two years and everything. We just got around to decorating, so it feels like we actually own this place. Before it was like we were living in a super boring, crappily staged model home. Actually, model homes are nicer.
It all started with changing our rug. We found this huge, beige rug for 99 bucks at Home Depot.
Then Ryne’s mom gave us their old end tables and coffee table. They didn’t match, but that’s beside the point. They were free. Free always wins.
Then I found prints for the kitchen. The kitchen/living area color scheme had been decided through random Pinterest finds. Because that’s logical.
The furniture started really annoying me. I started to stain it on my sick days. It was both productive and therapeutic. Fumes make you feel ten shades of funny. Also, I learned that you can stain over stain as long as they are both polyurethane. So, write that one down for future reference, y’all.
I bought pillows after that. The owl was is Ryne’s favorite. Kidding. I think he hates it. I don’t know why I bought it, but I feel like it called to me.
Here are a few other pillows with my brand spanking “new” furniture. I also got burgundy and green ones. I’m kind of into mix and match right now. Looking at the furniture, does that surprise you? Light/dark is 100% in, at least in my brain.
I ordered some canvases and a big wood letter. I’m actually lying. The big letter has been sitting in our closet for months. It was an impulse late-night internet purchase. It never found a home.
Until I used an entire can of spray paint on it. Seriously. Is that normal? Is spray paint like potato chips? Always half empty?
Our living room looks lived in now! Fabulous.
To celebrate, I painted my nails with cheap polish and ate cheap ice cream. We’re officially broke.
Sorry to bore you with home stuff. I’m just really excited to not be lazy for once. Oh, and has anyone found any cute prints for a bathroom? I’m kind of into prints right now. Because they’re practically free. PS: my powder room is neon green, so that might be a problem.
Happy Hump Day Eve, ya’ll!
