We’ve made it to the beach! For the next few days I’ll be soaking up the sunshine, splashing in the ocean, relaxing in the breeze, and trying to get Maddux to eat as little sand as possible. It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait to teach Maddux how to spot little crabs, fish, and dolphins. He won’t really understand yet, I’m sure, but it’s the thought that counts! There is nothing like a weekend at the beach to help you connect with your family and nature, ya know?
While there are not many trees smack dab in the middle of the beach, they are a hugely important part of nature. They also happen to be exactly what I’m talking about in today’s post. Odwalla (yep, the brand known for delivering goodness from its wholesome ingredients) has donated $550,000 worth of trees through its Plant-A-Tree initiative. They don’t want to stop there, though. They have teamed up with Nature’s Conservancy All Hands on Earth campaign to plant up to 100,000 trees in 2013!
They are doing so with the help of people like you! Between March 20, 2013 and May 31, 2013, Odwalla will contribute $1 for each tree you create to The Nature Conservancy — no less than $75,000 and up to $100,000 — for the planting of a real tree. Now through the end of May, fans can virtually create their own Odwalla tree and be eligible to take home a $10,000 gift card plus a year’s worth of Odwalla beverages and bars. Oh, and just for registering, you will receive a coupon for yourself and the opportunity to share one with a friend. By the way, you should definitely try Odwalla products for yourself. Aside from being a charitable company, they also make a pretty mean smoothie.
In honor of the Plant-A-Tree initiative, Odwalla is giving one of YOU a chance to win an Odwalla Goodness Package. It’s filled with bars, coupons, a t-shirt, tote bag, and sunglasses. BALLER STATUS. 😉 Enter to win via the Rafflecopter below.
The giveaway will end on May 31st at 12:00 am, and a winner will be announced the following day. For more information about the Plant-A-Tree initiative or Odwalla products, please visit their website or connect with them on Twitter.
Disclosure: I received compensation and product from Odwalla in exchange for this post. While Odwalla is providing the product for the giveaway, I am responsible for hosting it. As always, all opinions are my own.
