It has been a while since I posted, but it isn’t out of pure laziness. Maybe I was a little bit lazy, but I swear there are other contributing factors.
- Maddux went from his typical wisecracking self to practically crying out in pain on our six hour drive on Sunday. It’s a long story but suffice to say he had strep but didn’t really have strep, so now he’s still in pain and taking antibiotics for no reason. Fabulous.
- My blog was hacked, and the usual content was replaced with something with a rather medical theme. I’m pretty sure it was just a large Cialis advertisement. Which, if I’m being honest, is probably more interesting than what I post. I’m not sure if salvaging this blog was a good or a bad thing, y’all.
- I just flat out didn’t have the time. I barely had time to get my real work done, much less get any blogging or housework completed. I felt like I had to get on tonight, because complaining to strangers on the internet is my therapy. Whatever works, okay?
That being said, I’m down for positive vibes only from here on out. The one thing that can cheer me up? Pictures from the Outer Banks last week.
We stayed at a beautiful house right on Atlantic Beach. The views did not suck.
However, for the majority of the week, this was what I was staring at. #WAHM life, y’all.
Ryne was kind enough to send me pictures when they headed out on their adventures.
Is it just me, or is it adorable when kids are totally enamored by these big tanks?
I did get to have lunch breaks with some pretty cool people.
When I actually went outside, I made sure to document it to prove that I was there.
The one thing I made time for every single night? Food.
Like, lots and lots of food.
I may have had a drink or two,
and I definitely had plenty of dessert.
We even snuck off for a date night,
made some very serious s’mores,
celebrated Cinco de Mayo,
and took this absolutely perfect Mother’s Day photo before heading home.
Ah, I’m feeling better already. Take that and shove it, negativity.
