Post-Baby Body: Month Eight Update

I’ll keep this month’s update short and sweet. I feel better this month than I have in a long time. I definitely feel like the “old me” and I think I’m finally starting to look like the old me, too. Minus these atrocious roots. Seriously, I know I mention this every single update, but my hair is out of control. I think I schedule a hair appointment after every postpartum update. Hilarious. Also, My burns are healing nicely. You can barely see them! Whoop!
The most notable change between this month and last month, in my opinion, is in my legs. They are feeling stronger and I hope they looking a bit tighter, too. I’m trying! My stats agree with me, at least:
Another big plus? I can wear ALL my old workout gear. That was the last bit of my closet that I was a little hesitant to try again. I had some pretty tight dry fit stuff taunting me from the corner. Well, in yo face Nike, I can wear you again! (You’re next, bikini!) I’m so excited, you have no idea. It’s the little things, people. I’m now officially one pound away from my pre-Maddux weight.
My next big goal for this ol’ body of mine is speed. I want to gain some daggum speed now. I feel like I’ve made considerable gains in the strength department. Now for the fun stuff. I want to get some pep back in my step. We’ll see how this actually pans out.
I know that these posts probably bore the pants of you, but they really do help keep me motivated. They’ll all be over soon, though, I promise. Then we can pretend I never made you look at my saggy belly ever again. Still friends? Hope so.
