Today was my first official day of summer vacation. What did I do? Cleaned and organized the entire house. There is something fundamentally wrong with that. Maybe I thought if I worked hard today then I could slack off all summer. 😉
Anyway, I’m about a week late with my eleven month postpartum update. (Past postpartum updates can be found here.) There are a few reasons for this: 1.) I thought I looked bad, 2.) it’s getting a little old, and 3.) I sorta kept forgetting. The Type A in me, though, is posting this mainly for the fact that I feel like I have to get to 12 months. Weird, right?
I do like looking back at my progress (or lack thereof), so I guess it’s a good thing I’m forcing myself to do this. I’ve been really switching up my workouts lately. I might not look much different, but I feel different. I’m more confident trying new things when it comes to exercise, so that’s been the biggest change I’ve noticed this month. Way better than a physical change, ya know?

Even though I had a rough day in regards to my progress recently, I’m actually totally over it. I swear I have momentary lapses in my sense of reason. Glad those times don’t last long! That being said, I am a little mad that I don’t have ginormous biceps from lugging this cutie around all the time. He weighs freaking 25 pounds now. That doesn’t sound like much, but try spending the day with a huge weight strapped to your hip and forearm. He’s lucky he’s so adorable. 😉
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with some much less cuddly heavy objects. Our weight session will be followed up by a little wine, of course. Hey, it is my first day of vacation after all. Happy Friday!!
