I’m not going to lie. I almost forgot to post today, because I might have thought it was Saturday all day. Ryne and I were both home, so it just felt like the weekend already. Whoops. Anyway, there isn’t much to say.
To sum it up: all my stats look almost identical to the past few months, but everything is feeling a bit tighter. I’m getting stronger and feeling better, so I could care less what the numbers say. I’ve been running much shorter distances, trying to increase my speed, and frequently upping the weights. So far, I think it’s starting to work. Of course, I’m eventually going to get back to running longer distances. I have a few more half marathons I want to attempt this year, but I have to admit it’s been fun to see my short runs getting faster and my muscles getting stronger.
Here are my obligatory pictures. Only three more months of this foolishness, I promise. Can you hang in there with me a bit longer?
Again, my stats have held pretty steady for a while now. It used to bother me more than it does now because I can feel the changes. I know that’s what matters most.
I’m going to continue the schedule of lifting almost every day and running sprints. It’s been fun to get in and out of the gym really quickly. Technically, I probably should have been posting my “Weekly Workout” update today, but suffice to say I’ve been doing a lot of this:
That’s my favorite leg move. I’ve also been doing a lot of preacher curls with Ryne, since they’re his favorite bicep killer. When it comes to running, I’ve been sticking to short (think 2-ish miles) runs with intervals. For now, this system is working to me, both physically and mentally. However, we all know how fast I get bored with things so this whole plan will probably change by tomorrow. 😉
Hope y’all have a great weekend! Maybe I’ll get my days straight and figure it all out soon. Today is Friday. Tomorrow is Saturday. I can totally remember that now, right? Let’s hope so.
