I’ve run three times so far this week, which is probably a postpartum record for me. I feel like a beast considering that’s about how many times I’ve been running in an entire month lately. It’s no secret that I’ve been struggling with my workouts for a while now, but I’m ready to get back into it. When it comes to motivating myself to get up and run, signing up for a race usually does the trick. I mean, I don’t want to crawl my way back from the starting point, y’all. Training usually helps with that.
I wasn’t sure it was even possible, but they have gone and made it even better now. The race date has moved from January to October. October in Amelia Island is going to be freaking amazing. The icing on the cake is that they’re allowing me to attend as an ambassador again. I can’t wait to get to know another great group of women. It’s like a weekend-long sleepover. For adults. At the Ritz. I could get used to that.
I haven’t set an official goal yet – aside from finishing – but deep down I know I want to set a half PR. It’s not very likely but reach for the moon, right?
