How is it Wednesday already? I had big plans to post this last Friday, and somehow I’m just getting around to it. Life. It happens. Anyway, I’m over halfway to my due date now so this post is totally a celebratory one. 40 weeks, here I come!
So what’s been going on with the baby? According to BabyCenter, it now “weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — about the size of a carrot. You may soon feel like she’s practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby’s eyebrows and lids are present now.” Excuse me, guys. She is a he. Get it together.
Weeks: 21 Weeks
Total Weight Gain: I’ve gained about 16 pounds so far, which means I gained yet another 4 pounds in 3 weeks. What can I say? I do work.
Fitness: The only thing I’ve been doing lately is taking Pure Barre when I get a chance. Still itching to run, but I keep making excuses. The cool weather on the way will probably help a ton! At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
Symptoms: So far, this has been the best three weeks yet. I get randomly nauseous, but it’s seriously nothing to complain about.
Sleep: I’ve slept through the night a few times recently, so YAY for that.
Cravings: Everything salty, spicy, or savory that I see. Literally all of it.
Maternity Clothes: The Cartwheel App had 25% off Women’s Clothing so I hit Target up this week. I scored a ton of really comfortable sweaters and hoodies. Bring it on, fall. I’m ready for you.
Baby Items Bought/Received: I haven’t purchased anything recently, but I have started to compile a pretty legit Amazon Wish List for the baby. Just watching for price drops at this point. Frugal forever.
Goals: I’m still working on focusing on Maddux right now. This weekend we’re headed to watch a pirate-themed dinner show with my parents, and I cannot wait to see him absolutely freak out about it.
Worries: Just ready to get into the “safe” zone when it comes to weeks. I know that being in the third trimester is no guarantee of health or safety, but it’s still a milestone that I’m ready to reach.
Best Moment: His kicks are getting stronger now. Pretty soon I’ll be complaining about his feet all up in my ribs, so I’m trying to enjoy the “cute” stage of kicking and punching while I can. It won’t be long until it looks like an alien lives in there.
Hope y’all are having a great week! What has YOUR best moment been?
