.) I’ve done a really good job with cutting back a little bit on sugar lately, but I’ve replaced the sugar habit with a cracker and chip habit. Goldfish, “Moo” crackers (those actually belong to M), and nachos have been on my mind and in my mouth practically 24/7. I guess I just replaced one vice with another. Whoops. Better go eat some ice cream to balance it all out.
.) My child remembers so much more than I give him credit for, which is both exciting and terrifying. We were trying to stump him with questions today and he knew what to say or do for everything we thought to ask. As a teacher, I know how in depth children will go when describing their home life so I truly understand just how much of my laundry will be aired soon. Shudder.
.) While we’re on the topic of kids, can I just say that the highlight of my parenting world today was putting a suit on him? Seriously. The next time your kid is driving you nuts, dress him up like a little, tiny adult. Maddux will be in my cousin’s wedding in September, and I cannot wait to see how that plays out. It will be adorable or hilarious. Maybe both.
.) I think it’s funny that I’m studying for my CPT exam and I couldn’t even get myself to work out more than once so far this week. I am a little embarrassed, but honestly, I just feel like I’ve had zero real time. Oh, and I guess I’ve been kind of lazy, too. It’s crazy how being mentally exhausted from trying to, like, learn and stuff can affect you physically. My mind is done, so my body decided to call it quits as well. That’s why caffeine was created, though, am I right?
.) I thought I had a cold all week (which I partially blame for my aforementioned laziness), but it turns out it was just my allergies. I have pretty bad seasonal allergies, but they usually don’t bother me this late into the summer. I randomly saw my medication while I was straightening up the bathroom and I decided to pop one and see what would happen. Well, I could breathe again and my head didn’t feel like it was going to explode anymore. Magic. Maybe now I can actually accomplish some things, but let’s not get too crazy.
How’s this week going for y’all? Am I the only one struggling a bit?
