.) I mentioned that I haven’t really felt like myself lately, and I think the best way to overcome something like that is to sweat with other people. That sounds weird, but you get the drift. I am a huge proponent of group fitness classes, especially when you need extra motivation or encouragement. They are so ridiculously fun. Last night was my first time taking a Tabata class and I hope I can get in there more often! I’m still sore today, so I’m skipping a workout tonight. I think the workout hit every single muscle I have.
.) This weekend is my cousin’s wedding. I’m the oldest on that side of the family, so it’s weird to think of them as adults. That’s beside the point, though. I feel like September is an awkward month clothing-wise. Do I still wear my bright summery dresses or do I tone it down since it’s almost fall? Do rules even exist anymore? I’m basically 80 years old and stuck in the past, I guess. I need help.
.) Speaking of the wedding, my two-year-old will be making his ring-bearer debut. That should be all kinds of interesting. I’m prepared for it to go really well or not go at all. If I’ve learned anything teaching young children, it’s that they are as unpredictable as wild animals. On the plus side, he has some really adorable shoes to wear with his tux. He’s obsessed with them already. He barely let me take a picture before he grabbed them from me.
.) I have a confession to make: I’m addicted to social media. If you have a thought and you don’t Tweet it, did you really even think it? I’m serious, y’all.
.) I found a new love and it’s called Vanilla Chex. I thought it was perfect, but then I saw a recipe for Iced Pumpkin Chex Mix on the box. It has cream cheese icing on it. If you need me, I’ll be finding a way to make this as soon as physically possible.
.) While we’re on the topic of snacking, I should probably mention that I’m going to do my best to make better choices. Obviously, an exception needs to be made for the snack mix I just mentioned. But, honestly, I have turned into a total snacker. I’m talking 24/7. I’ve always been more of a sit down to a meal eater, but I think stress has me reaching for potato chips and candy right now. That’s so lame.
.) Last, but certainly not least, my mom started her chemo today. I like to picture the medicine ninja-kicking all the bad cells. I think that’s pretty scientifically accurate. Anyway, positive thoughts are always appreciated!
