Quick workout recap since I haven’t checked in recently: back and biceps last night + a three mile run today. Exciting stuff, right? I need to take a class or something soon because things are getting pretty repetitive around here. I don’t like it. I blame my crazy eyes on that fact. Also, I might just actually be crazy. That’s definitely the theme of today’s post.
Since I’m having trouble formulating the mess inside my brain into an actual post, how about a good ol’ fashioned Thursday Thoughts?
1.) I leave for California a week from today. I am really excited for new scenery, new food, and new workouts. It’ll be just the thing to get me out of this little rut I’m in. Oh, and I decided to fly home Sunday night, which means I’ll get home Monday morning. I’m scared of flying, so that means zero sleep. Fabulous.
2.) Yesterday I officially signed up to earn my personal trainer certification. I have six months to teach myself all kinds of cool science-y things before I take the exam. I’ll definitely be talking more about this later, but I think I might be nuts for deciding to do this now. Maybe it’s one of those now or never things?
3.) I also signed up for a 5k, 10k, and half marathon in June. All on the same weekend. I have never attempted anything like this, but it sounded like a good idea at the time. Guess I’ll actually be training for a race soon, after all. You know you’re crazy when you continuously surprise yourself with the things you decide to do.
4.) I’m going to help coach our school’s running club this year. It’s been a while since I’ve actually helped out with this, but I’m really glad to be doing it again. We practice immediately after school, so I’ll still get to leave work around the same time. It’s starts pretty soon, so I’m sure I’ll be mentioning that from time to time. Or all the time. Who knows.
5.) I’m still in the running to win this contest and you can still enter to win this one. Yep, that first thing is just a shameless attempt to have you vote for me. I’ll hopefully be back to “regular” blogging soon. I just felt like this should all be unleashed on you the way I unleashed it on myself. If you’ve done anything of the above things, send me some tips! Especially in regards to self-study type stuff, attempting to pass out on a plane, or running multiple races in one weekend.
