.) We finally moved the treadmill into the garage, so I have no excuse not to work out in the early mornings or late evenings now. I’m sure if I think really, really hard I can come up with something though. I have faith in myself. Actually, the garage is pretty chilly, so I should probably stay out of there. Okay, fine. I’ll quit being a wimp. What should it be? Before Maddux wakes up or after he goes to bed? Tough decision.
.) Santa is officially everywhere. I’ve seen him on two different motorcycles, driving a van, and walking into a store. And that was all just this week. I realize these are just actual people who happen to have white beards, but where are they the rest of the year? I mean, you can’t just grow a beard like that overnight. I will get to the bottom of this phenomenon.
.) I’m currently watching Grumpy Old Men. “There may be lots of fish in the sea, but you’re the only one I want to mount over my fireplace.” Romance, y’all. Pure romance. But, seriously, I think we need to find a new show on Netflix because we’ve just been watching our old movies on repeat. Any recommendations?
.) While I don’t host our family’s traditional Thanksgiving meal, our house is the spot for Friendsgiving a few days later. Don’t laugh, y’all. It’s awesome. You get to eat your favorite foods all over again but this time you also get to drink classy cranberry Bud Lights, laugh about all the stupid things you did in college, and stay up way too late. The only issue is having to actually plan the meal. Since I don’t eat meat, I have to get a little creative. With the help of Foodie.com, I compiled a list of entrees and sides that I really want to try this year. I’m kind of dying over the Beet & Burrata Endive salad. I need it. That and the Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake, obviously.
.) It bothers me that I don’t have a fifth thought. Guess I’ll just wrap it up here, since I clearly don’t have much going on upstairs right now. It happens.
Question: Are you trying any new dishes this Thanksgiving? I’ll happily taste test for y’all. 🙂
