Look at me posting at a reasonable time tonight. Too bad it’s just a post full of random thoughts. Sorry about that, guys. Without further ado, here’s the junk that’s on my mind:
1.) On the days that I’ve actually worked out recently, I’ve been jammin’ out. My music tastes are all over the place, but one song seems to be stuck in my head more often than not. By the way, B.O.B. makes me want to turn my name into an acronym, but I think P.R.E.S.L.E.Y. is a little long. Whatever.
2.) Speaking of working out, I feel like I need to grab some workout DVDs. I think I’ve mentioned this in the past, but I never found any that sparked my interest. I need to sweat. Jane Fonda ain’t cuttin’ it. Fun Fact: I had to stay home from school one day in elementary school after hurting my neck doing “crunches” with the ol’ Fonda. Oh, memories. Form is clearly important, y’all.
3.) I’ve been working with Verizon for a while now, and I love them more and more as I get to know them as a “brand”. They sent me a new tablet a few weeks ago, but I need to step up my app game. I’ve been looking for some educational ones to download onto the Ellipsis 7. Any suggestions?
4.) This is so random, but Ryne and I were talking about drone delivery the other day. I guess he saw something on the news about it. Anyway, if they could deliver coffee, waffle fries, and cupcakes, I’d be set for life. I’d never leave my house.
5.) In less than a month, we’ll be heading to Disney World with Maddy and her family. I am so excited. Maddux has been loving Mickey Mouse lately, so I hope he is a little less scared of the characters this time. I’d love to have some pictures where it doesn’t look like we’re torturing him by walking too close to anyone in costume.
6.) While we’re on the topic of my child, I just want to mention that I have no freaking clue how he eats as much as he does. I swear he eats more than two grown men could. While he definitely gets treats often, I also want to make sure that I’m filling him up with good-for-him stuff, too. I usually try to sneak in some extra fruits and veggies in his after-school snack. While smoothies with hidden spinach are a go-to at our house, I compiled a little list with the help of Foodie.com to remind me to switch it up from time to time. Hope you find it useful, too!
7.) Thanks for listening to me vent yesterday! I’m glad I’m not the only one who should cut back on the items on my to-do lists throughout the week. I’m going to really make a conscious effort to manage my calendar better. I don’t have to say yes to everything and I certainly don’t have to get bummed out when I’m not effortlessly checking off a million tasks a day. Let’s all skip something lame and do something awesome today. 😉 I’m going to ignore the laundry and drink wine and read blogs instead. Ballin’.
