Happy Monday! We’ve been hit by another sickness this weekend. Fun times. Saturday I had lead legs during my four mile run, but I didn’t think much of it. By Sunday morning, I knew something was up. Today, Ryne and I both have body aches and low fevers, but Tylenol is working wonders. Maddux got off a little easier than us, thank goodness. Anyway, I’m skipping my three miles for today. I also kind of just want to melt into the couch right now. Instead of a “real” post, I’m just going to show you what we’ve been up to. Yes, we were out and about all weekend even though we felt like death. Not the smartest idea.
“Santa! I know him!”
So much sweat. How was it in the 70s in December?
Um. This happened. Pictures to come.
Refueling after permanently altering my body.
Future Iron Chef.
Mufasa appeared in our icing. Also, brown icing is disgusting looking.
My blurry child. So excited for the lights.
Honestly, I’m kind of bummed we didn’t feel well because this was a great weekend otherwise. Maddux had a flippin’ blast doing all things festive. Plus, I’m kind of annoyed that I got sick twice already during half marathon training. I mean, that has to be a pretty bad track record, right? I’m just hoping I don’t blow it on race day or get sick again. The joys of teaching children. 😉 I bring home every single plague that hits our school. My immunity must suck.
On a happier note, CHRISTMAS IS ALMOST HERE. Tonight we are going to open family presents at Ryne’s parents’ house. There is a 90% chance that I will show up in my pajamas. I promise we will stay away from everyone, by the way. I just don’t want Maddux missing out on any of the events because of us. He’s loving it!
