I’m off work today and tomorrow, so this is starting to seem like the longest weekend ever. I’m trying to use it to be productive, but we’ll see how that goes. So far today I’ve made French toast for the toddler, cleaned dishes, washed clothes, and gone to Whole Foods. Y’all. It’s like a different store when it’s empty. It was all kinds of relaxing being the only person in there. I didn’t want to leave! I digress. Back to the weekend, you guys. As usual, I’m going to do this two-sentence-per-picture style.
Halloween is the perfect time to live out your childhood fantasies. I got to be Wendy Peffercorn, but Ryne is still mad that I let our child be Benny.
I’ve found the secret to perfect s’mores: jumbo marshmallows, Cookies n’ Creme candy bars, and red rompers. Nevermind, y’all, the romper just makes me look like a tool.
Rainy, cold weather means you must go shoe shopping. I’m pretty sure that’s a law or something.
I thought about going on a November running streak, but I only ran once this weekend. It was gross outside, remember?
Grilled pizzas, all day every day. Well, more like once a week.
The catchphrase of my weekends is still “turn UP for what?”. We could have gone out Saturday night, but pajamas and mimosas sounded exciting enough.
This is legitimately my new favorite breakfast. I’m no food expert, but the sugar balanced out the spinach quite nicely.
Watching professional runners on TV inspired me to continue watching professional runners on TV. I know my place.
Maddux helped Pop Pop blow out his candles. There was probably only a little bit of toddler spit on each slice of cake.
Well, I guess I’m off to do more mundane activities in the name of crossing things off of a list. Next up: prepping mason jar salads and individual smoothie bags. I lead a thrilling life. Hopefully I can wrap that up quickly because I really do want to get outside for a run. It’s 40-something degrees, though, so I’m scared. Laugh it up, y’all, but that might as well be 40 below. Brr.
Question: Do you prep food for the week? What are your go-tos? Both of the things I’m making are pretty much warm-weather staples, so I need to transition into some winter meals!
