Happy Monday! This weekend was pretty productive as far as household chores and projects go, so we basically rewarded ourselves by eating out for every meal. While it was fun, it also means that we need to eat some actual vegetables and seriously crack back down on the budget. Ouch. It happens, I guess. While I go make myself a little “get my life together” list, I’ll leave y’all with a quick recap of our weekend. As usual, let’s do this “two sentences per picture style” because I’m running low on both time and brain power.
Friday was absolutely beautiful. I thought about skipping my run, but that sunshine quickly made me feel dumb for thinking that.
After dinner I made us matching bowls at Tutti Frutti. Maddux went on a treasure hunt and dug out every single piece of candy out of his cup.
Thank you Fleet Feet for having toys. Oh, and thank you for convincing Ryne to buy new shoes and to run with me every single day until forever.
I’ve pretty much perfected my post-long-run routine at this point. I need: electrolytes, sugar, and a spiky roller of death.
We only play two games in this house: hook and baseball. It gets complicated when you have to play both at the same time.
A man sitting near us asked if Bonefish sold wine glasses. They don’t, but I’m pretty sure he said he was going to take one anyway.
I ordered the pumpkin ravioli as one of my sides. Then I wished I had just ordered fifty of them.
Ryne’s first Whole Foods experience. All he got was champagne and this picture.
I’m painting our bedroom and office soon, but I’m kind of terrified. I have horrible luck with paint.
So, yeah. I’m trying to organize, paint, and just generally make sense of our home. Finally. It’s not going well, but I have faith I can pull it together before Maddux leaves for college in 16 years. I should also get off of Pinterest at some point this afternoon and get some fresh air and/or exercise. I’m thinking a family walk sounds about right for today. Who’s with me?
Question: Am I the only person on the planet who cannot decorate? I mean, I literally lack that skill. I just try to copy people every single time, and then I end up with a cut-rate version of another person’s room. Sad.
