While the long weekend has been nice so far, I’ve spent most of it trying to convince myself I didn’t catch my toddler’s cold. It didn’t work out well for me.
Bring on the meds, y’all! I’m actually a little disappointed, because I still feel like I want to crawl into a hole. Maybe I have something other than a cold. I really have no clue. I’m not a doctor.
In an attempt to soothe our sore throats, we bought fancy drinks at the Saturday Market. Mere seconds after this photo was taken, he spilled the entire thing on his shoes. That was fun. Luckily, the sweet family selling them gave him another. Party on, dude.
I even tried to fix myself with a mimosa on Saturday night. It’s weird how that didn’t solve the problem. Hello, they have Vitamin C. Anyway, I also tried to teach my little man how to play ball in the backyard.
He did better on his own. His swing is legit.
This weekend also included having people over, Ryne making a huge tray of meat, and me practically eating a cheese ball by myself. The veggie tray is only there for looks. I think it was still that full at the end. It happens.
Sunday morning, I was feeling worse than ever. I decided the only cure was to have some pumpkin roll for breakfast. Remember when I said that I’m not a doctor? Ideas like this are probably why.
The only thing I did do successfully this weekend was hit up some Labor Day Weekend sales. I can be pretty smart when I try. Everything I bought was at least 40 percent off, so I consider that a win.
In case you’re still on the hunt for some bargains, I thought I’d share a few of the sales I found. I rarely go shopping, so I go a little overboard when I have a reason to. Whoops.
Express: 40% off of everything (excluding watches).
J.Crew Factory: 40-60% off of everything.
Old Navy: Everything up to 50% off.
H&M: Items marked down to as low as $4.95.
Nordstrom: Save up to 40% with the Clearance Sale.
Banana Republic: 40% off with code BRLABOR.
Target: Buy one, get one 50% off on select items.
Let’s just say I spent a little too long “browsing” the sales last night when I should have been sleeping off this sickness. Whatever, I live for a good deal. 😉 Today I have big plans to park it by the pool and watch my boys swim. Perfect Labor Day in my book. Hope y’all have a great Monday, too!
