Weekend Recap + Running Stroller Options

Lately I’ve been checking in on the weekends, but I suppose the holiday threw me off a little bit. We didn’t have a very exciting weekend, but it was definitely busy.
Friday night we went out to eat with a few friends. Side note: sticky placemats are genius. Maddux ate a ton, but I barely got to eat anything. I had to constantly put food on that little mat for him. He’s had a huge appetite lately. I can’t keep him full!
Saturday morning I got up, ate breakfast with my boys, and then headed to barre. I think this is going to become my go-to weekend workout. The class is at the perfect time for me. It’s not too early, but it still gets me home before the day really starts, ya know? If you’re in the Augusta area, you should totally come with. I’m making this face because I know you don’t want to go with me, but I’m secretly hoping that you will anyway. Are we best friends yet? Actually, I felt pretty awkward that day because I was dripping sweat when everyone else looked perfectly put together. Welcome to my life.
When I got home from class, Logan told me she was taking her niece and nephew swimming. I tagged along for two reasons: 1.) Maddux likes pools and 2.) it was an excuse for me not to shower yet. I’m so gross. As you can see, Maddux had a really good time. He is such a little lady killa.
I did finally shower, though, I swear. We had plans to go to a baseball game as a group, but it got rained out. We ate a ton of fried food instead. Same thing, right? I seriously think Carolina Ale House has good food. Is that just me?
Sunday I hit up the gym again, but Logan was kind enough to come with me this time. I went to my second-ever piloxing class and got my butt handed to me.
There are no words for that picture. I goofed off just as much in class, too. I got caught booty dancing a few times. No shame. I’m so sore today, so I guess I used a few muscles that I’ve been neglecting lately. Reason #14,497 why variety is key when it comes to fitness.
I also spent a good chunk of my weekend looking for a quality running stroller online. I hate being stuck in the house when I could be running with Maddux. We go on a lot of walks/slow jogs, but I think he would have a blast if we went running. I’ve quickly realized that jogging strollers and running strollers are not even close to the same thing.
I want a really good running stroller, but I am lost. I don’t know much about them. I know BOB is a great brand, but I can’t afford a new one at those prices right now. I found a used one in my area on Craigslist, but the lady never responded. I was pretty heartbroken. I’m going to keep an eye out for used models, but if that doesn’t work out I need a back up plan. Do any of y’all use a brand other than BOB? How do you like it? If you have a BOB, which model did you buy and why?
